8 DAYS: GORILLA TOURS UGANDA- RWANDA

This tour takes you to the two famous gorilla tracking National parks. That is; park des Volcans and Bwindi Impenetrable national park. The launch cruise along the Kazinga channel in this tour is also Fun and you can only know if you try it out.

Day One: TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Our guide will pick you from Kampala in the morning after breakfast and drive you through Uganda’s lush beautiful countryside. Take a stop over at Equator en route . Continue to Queen Elizabeth national park and a game drive en route is rewarding with vistas of animals like Antelopes, birds, Elephants, among others.  Arrive in the afternoon at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana lodge/ Institute of Ecology. In the afternoon explore the fascinating Queen Elizabeth’s charming crater lakes sector. These crater lakes are unique in a way that each of them has  its own individual temperament and nature providing a residence for a myriad of creatures. Visit Lake Katwe and get to see the salt works and Flamingo Lake is exhilarating!  Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day Two: GAME DRIVE AND LAUNCH CRUISE ALONG THE KAZINGA CHANNEL
After a cup of coffee and go for a morning game drive in the Park.  You will search for some of the Big Five from their natural habitat; Elephant, Buffalos, Lions, leopards and Bush bucks, Giant forest hog, Hyenas, waterbucks, mangoose, and many bird species. Return to the lodge for mid morning breakfat and relax at the lodge as you wait for your next tour activity. If you slept at Mweya safari lodge, the swimming pool is at your disposal then after go for lunch.
In the after noon, take a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel to watch the families of Hippos, and Crocodiles close to the waterside as well as other land mammals drinking water along the shores of the channel.  The banks of this channel harbour a great number of bird species and if you are lucky, you might encounter the legendary shoe bill stork, pelicans, Skimmers, fish eagle, martial eagles, the papyrus gonelok, African Jacana and many others.  You may be forced to render this activity as the highlight of the tour because of the various species of birds and animals you may see along the cruise. Return to the lodge for dinner and over night.

Day3: TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
Take break fast and after transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park. As you drive along the road via Ishasha sector, animals such as the waterbucks, elephant, antelopes, buffalo, Kobs, can be seen along the road. This sector of Queen Elizabeth national park gives you opportunities to encounter tree climbing lions. Relax around the Forest camp. Dinner and over night at the luxurious Gorilla Forest Camp set deep in the rain forest/ Buhoma Community Rest camp.

Day 4 GORILLA TRACKING
This is one of the awaited for day with one of the highlight activities of this tour. Well prepared with your packed lunch, rain jackets, cameras, water, long pair of trouser and jungle boots on, you will assemble for briefing from the rangers about gorilla tracking the great adventure and experience!  The time taken to encounter these peaceful primates is erratic for it may take1-10 hours. However, on encounter, one may be forced to say, it is stunning!!!! After the adventure a credential awaits the successful tracker. The day is not easy at times but pleasing. Return to your lodge for dinner and over night.
