Deng Deng National Park is found in Cameroon, It is reported by the Wildlife Conservation Society that Gorilla have been discovered in that Park. Gorillas are among the world’s most endangered animals, these large primates A population of western lowland gorillas, described as “dense and healthy” by the WCS,.
It is also reported that distance to trek the Gorillas is about 300 to 500 M because they live so close to the Lodge , It said that gorillas divide their time between the park and the logging area. A road exists between these two places, however, which puts the gorillas in danger of poachers.

According to James Deutsch Wildlife Conservation Society Director for Africa Program said “Protecting this gorilla population and guaranteeing its future absolutely requires protecting the gorillas in the logging concession as well as in the park
Gorilla census in the region was made, and 600 six hundred Gorillas were found in Deng Deng National Park. the researchers counted ape nests along line transects. Part of that effort involves analyzing dung samples in the nests.
Deng Deng National Park was created in 2010 in order to protect the Gorillas from deadly Ebola epidemic. Deng Deng National Park has rare haven for gorillas and other animals to thrive. Chimpanzees, elephants, buffaloes and a reddish-brown antelope known as the bongo also occur in this protected area.
The conclusion of Roger Fotso, director WCS’s Cameroon Program, is “For a small area, this is an extremely important site for gorilla conservation. It is also important because this is the northern-most population of western lowland gorillas, and because it is accessible to the capital Yaoundé and so a possible future site for tourism.”
The WCS credits the Cameroon Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife and the French Development Agency for their work over the past three years to help protect gorillas. posted Gorilla Trekking

In Queen Elizabeth National Park, group of white colobus monkeys stands in way, enjoying a cool evening breeze from Lake Edward. Occasionally, they run to and from one another and form a group again.

Ishasha Wilderness camp is situated inside the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the Ntungwe River and is an idyllic retreat for people who truly enjoy the wilderness.

These monkeys are a bit shy and therefore it’s not easy to observe what they do when you come close to them.

However, at Ishasha, they have got used to the visitors so much so that you can be a few meters away from them and they still gaze at you.

Despite this docile attitude, the white colobus monkey has many predators and in many parts of Uganda, they are hunted for their beautiful skin which is used for decorations for traditional warriors, dancers and other royal regalia.

The black-and-white colobus monkeys are almost everywhere in Uganda where there is a forest. The word colobus comes from a Greek word kolobos which means maimed; it is called colobus therefore because its thumb is a stump.

They are very beautiful animals with black bodies and white capes of hair on their backs and sides and long black tails with a white end. It is this striking beauty that has made them hunted animals throughout human history.

The nice looking creatures survive on eating leaves, fruits, flowers and twigs. Their haven is mainly riverine forest and woody grasslands and because of their unique digestive system, they are able to occupy areas that are quite inaccessible to other animals.

Mzee Byandusya James of Kanungu, says ‘Engyeyo’ for that is their local name, are colonialist-like creatures which love to stay together in groups of between 8 – 10 individuals with a single male and a number of females with their offsprings. The young ones of the colobuses are completely white.

Byandusya adds that there are cases where the young one in each group is loved and cared for by all the members of the group, a virtue, he says is disappearing in the current generation of Ugandans. He says that the most spectacular thing about them is their high jumping skills and the attractive view of their tails streaming behind.

Colobuses are constantly threatened by many different enemies through hunting for bush meat trade, cutting down of forests and general destruction of their habitats.

Tara R. Harris, PHD, who stayed in Ishasha for some time while studying the behavior of these creatures says: ‘They have been used in numerous East African cultures for warriors and weapons: the beautiful pelts were formerly worn at the feudal courts in Mengo and Busoga’

In Ankole Kingdom in South Western Uganda Engyeyo, were also seen as beautiful animals and were killed for their beautiful skins.

In Uganda, the black and white colobus monkeys are the most common and widely spread forest monkeys although they are difficult to find because of their shy nature, there are some areas where they are used to people and often jump down to the ground.

Another place where you can come close to these beautiful creatures is Lake Nkuruba Community and Nature reserve in Kabarole. It is located on the only Crater Lake remaining unspoilt by the widespread deforestation in Uganda. You can get there by a taxi from Mpanga Market at a small fee. By car it is 17km on Kibale Road from Fort Portal town. There is a fork left to Kibale forest (25km) and right for Nkuruba which is only 8km. Nkuruba is a good campsite with bandas and the Crater Lake is bilharzia free.

Mounatain Kenya Forest reservation which is found in the southern part of Kenya has also started experiencing the problem of elephant poaching and at the moment, there are about six elephants that have been poached from the month of January in an eight kilometer radius in areas within the Castle Forest. This problem is partially affecting the Kenya Forest Service as well as the Kenya Wildlife Service especially since the poachers are constantly killing the animals without consideration.
Elephants are killed by a groups of people in Oder to get the elephant tusks for sale. There is an increasing demand for ivory has led to the increasing killing of the elephants; this is an issue that must be addressed immediately to avoid future consequences which might be so disastrous to the tourism industry. According the local residents who go to collect firewood in the forest, the elephants have become very hostile to people probably because they have also noticed that the humans are a threat to their lives and have decided to become aggressive in self defense.
According to the observation of the tourists towards the Wildlife Kenya, They are blaming Kenya saying that it has not conserved its wildlife. this is so because the government has not endeavored to carry out an investigation about the past incidents of poaching that have been done in the country and rather got very upset last month when the report was produced indicating about 2000 elephants being killed in Kenya every year to an extent that KWS arrested the source.
The figure of 2000 elephants seems reasonable given the fact that there are about six elephants that are killed in a period of three month in a small areas, it is probably the time for Kenya Wildlife Safari to do its job and protect its wildlife because failure to do so the tourism industry will soon face serious problem and yet it contributes greatly to the economy of the country.

The president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museven has given the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and National Environment Management Authority (Nema) have been given one to give reasons for denying golf course devaelopment project in In Queen Elizabeth tree climbing lion safari .
Queen Elizabeth NP is on 3000 square miles and the president wonders on how the one hundred acres golf will have negative effects on the big park.
While addressing the Muljibhai Madhvani family and friends ashes interment of Manubhai Madhvani at Kakiri. The idea of constructing the golf course by Madvani was targeting Queen Elizabeth National Park at the start but later suggested that the golf course should be settled for Murchison Falls National Park the same group also runs the Luxury Chobe safari Lodge in Murchison falls National park.
The president also mentioned that the refusal of madvani company could be because of envious that people may be having since the company has been and is still successful in all its industrial and economic developments in Uganda therefore conservationists should not oppose the idea by saying that the golf course development will lead to Uganda wildlife safari distract

So many Tourist visit Mt Elgon because of its beauty and being a mountain with cliffs littered all over , caves for cave painting , gorges and waterfalls with the upper slopes draped in tropical forest cover. If the Uganda Wildlife Authority does not come in to take immediate action these beautiful feature may be no more in park since enroachers have started settlements in such areas and they are the reason for one to take a safari in to Mt Elgon as well as Mt Climbing safaris.
Mt Elgon being a Tourist destination is facing threats as a result of human encroachment this animals have started running a way to protect their lives.

One of the Zebras in the National Park

According to a report by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), The zebras in Uganda has been increased and it estimated to be around 11,814. It has tripled the numbers that were encountered a decade ago

Uganda Wildlife especially Zebras No was estimated at 2,8oo In year of 2003. Their population was 3,200 in 1995 and in 1982; the population was 5,500 and 10,000 in the 1960s.

Dr. Adrew Seguya the acting executive director of Uganda Wildlife Authority UWA addressing the media center in capital city Kampala that “The estimated numbers of zebra have outgrown the population of the 1960s,”. adding that today’s population is bigger than the number of zebras in the 1960s. He has also added that, “UWA is to fence off protected areas to prevent wild animal losses.”

The Chief Conservation Area, Charles Tumwesigye, Manager attributed the increase to the lack of predation for zebras in Lake Mburo National Park because the lion population had become extinct in the park until recently. This was stated In a separate interview

Uganda Wildlife Authority says that the level of predation is still low despite the fact that three lions came to the park about five years ago. On the other hand, poachers do not target zebras and that the most targeted species were buffaloes and hippos.

Apart from zebras, UWA’s report cited elephants as one of the species whose population is doing well with a population of 4,393 from 2,400 in year 2003.

Uganda’s largest National Parks, Murchison national Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Kidepo National Park, are to work in together to practice conservation in order to recover game. Said Tumwine. The conservationists however pointed out that conversion of wildlife habitats into farmland is one of the factors that has led to decline.

Climate change, Seguya pointed out is another factor that could be affecting the population of Uganda kobs that has dropped significantly in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

In Queen Elizabeth the No of The lion has declined by 50% in to invasion by Basongora herdsmen and poisoning of cattle by fishermen in the fishing villages who now survive by keeping cattle in parts of the park. He said the Basongora vacated the park, but the herdsmen from the fishing villages were poisoning the predators such as lions.

The Rwandan President Paul Kagame has officially accused the Western governments of hypocrisy for preaching justice to low developed countries (LDCs) through harboring and funding individuals accused of committing the 1994 Rwanda genocide.

It is now 18 years since the 1994 genocide took place and the country was commemorating. While at the solemn ceremony in remembrance of the 1994 genocide the President of Rwanda Kagame pointed out at the issue regarding double standards exercised by the so called free nations.
The Unterahamwe militias attacked Mayhem on Kigali Using Guns, machetes, Clubs, Sexual Violence, and so many people are said to have lost their lives.
“ It said that those who killed innocent people are walking freely in the so called free world, As the Rwanda government remembers those who lost their lives, Nothing has been done to charge and arrest them and when it happens it’s a token of pretense meant to blind us and they are released within no time ,” said the President of Rwanda Kagame to thousands of Rwandans who assembled at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Saturday afternoon to commemorate the 1994 Rwanda genocide.

The free Nations have not valved African lives because even when there are terr suspected in their nations the whole world will be informed and all the media centres will have to publicise the act for public viewing with suspects brought to justice at the same time.
The 1994 Rwanda genocide occurred between April and June with over 800,000 Rwandans killed in the space of 100 days the biggest number that lost lives were the Tutsis with the Hutu causing violence after the death of the Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana, a Hutu, after the clash of his plane on 6th April 1994 above Kigali airport.
The death of the president was by no means the only cause of Africa’s largest genocide in modern times and genocide memorial have been built in Kigali as a remembrance of those while lost their lives so while on a safari in Rwanda one may opt to take a Kigali city tour memorial centres and most of Rwanda safari packages have been designed with tours combining gorilla tracking in Rwanda and Kigali city tours.

The Nile safari lodge was constructed many years ago, among the current just like so many other current existing Geo lodges around Uganda and owned by a safari and lodge company affiliated with the Alam Group of Companies. The Nile lodge is situated just out of Murchison Falls National Park with lots of visitors from East African and tourists from all parts of the world. The tourists around the world that have visited the Nile Lodge, were happy about the new looks of the lodge and anticipate that it will attract more tourists than ever before.
The lodge has got just about 10 cottages and offers exclusive private service, with enough space to accommodate smaller groups of people who wish to have some privacy away from the noisy town. According to the information provided in the New York Times, the most selling book indicating the 1.000 places that one has got to see before his death, the Nile Safari Lodge is among them with all the information about it which will help it get market from out countries. The book also indicates attractions around the lodge like the unique shoebill which are very many along the shores of the lake, the storks and pelicans which have cartoonish large beak are can only be located in a few areas in Uganda like in areas around this lodge.
This achievement should be greatly recognized in relation to Uganda’s tourism performance for the past few years. Uganda’s tourism attractions like the uganda wildlife will gain more popular especially after Uganda was identified as the must visit place for 2012 by the Lonely Planet which is a popular travel publication. Congrats to Zahid Alam, Emily Wissanji and the entire group for the work well done.
