Chimpanzee Tracking and Big Game Wildlife Tour

Day 1: ENTEBBE – NGAMBA ISLAND – KAMPALA
This day of your Africa safari will have breakfast at your Hotel and transfer to Uganda Wildlife Education Centre for your briefing before you board a ferry to Ngamba Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Then board a boat to the Island where you will be greeted by the care givers on the Island. Before your chimpanzee viewing, you will have a brief introduction and back ground of the sanctuary, feed habits and behaviors of the primates, residents on Island and other visitor attractions and activities. You will go for chimp viewing on the viewing platform offering a good and excellent opportunities for photography. After you will board a boat to the main land (Entebbe) where you will meet your guide and transfer to your accommodation in Kampala. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Africana or Holiday Express Hotel.

Day 2: KAMPALA – KIBALE CHIMPANZEE NATIONAL PARK
Morning cup of coffee and start your journey to Kibale Chimpanzee safari Park. The drive to Kibale will take you 4-5 hours arriving at your lodge in Kibale early afternoon. You will have your lunch in Fort portal town and proceed to the park and check in at your lodge. You will have the afternoon free or take a nature walk among the two major tribes around Kibale Park (Batooro and Bakiga) for cultural performances and traditional dances. You will transfer to your accommodation dinner and over night at Primates lodge or Chimpanzee guest house.

Day 3: KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
This morning of your safari to Kibale will be spent exploring the great kibale forest for its primates. The forest is femous in Africa safaris for being a home of a variety of primates compared to other forests in East Africa. Take a guided nature walk in search for man’s closest relatives the chimpanzees and primates residing in the tropical forest of Kibale like of Kibale Forest red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others may be seen. This walk is restricted to three groups of six persons each, in the morning and the same number in the afternoon. Retire to your accommodation for lunch which will be followed with a guided nature in Bigodi swamp. Transfer to your lodge in the evening dinner and of night stay.

Day 4: KIBALE – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
This morning of your safari will start with a cup of coffee before traveling to Queen Elizabeth Park. Then a tour to the crater lakes region as you head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The grater lakes region offers a clear view of mountains of the moon and scenery of Kasese town. You arrive Queen Elizabeth in the Afternoon and lunch at your accommodation. If you are sleeping in the luxury Mweya Hotel you will relax at the swimming pool. Then a late evening game drive in search for the resident of the park like waterbucks, warthogs, elephants, buffalos, antelopes and other wildlife will be seen. Dinner and overnight stay ay Mweya Safari Lodge or budget institute of Ecology.

Day 5: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK UGANDA TOUR
This day will start with a game drive heading to the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. You may see other residents of the park’s grassland like lions, elephants, buffaloes. Waterbucks, giant forest hog and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning to your lodge for your breakfast. After late break fast you will relax at your lodge and wait for lunch. After lunch, you will have a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, while the boat trip you will have an opportunity to see wildlife like hippo’s huff and spray mere feet away from the boat, buffalo linger in the shallows. The shores of the Kazinga channel are also home to an array of bird species like pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many more. After the afternoon boat trip, we will drive back to Lodge for an Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Simba safari lodge/ Institute of Ecology (FB)

Day 6: KYAMBURA WILDLIFE RESERVE – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
A cup of tea in the morning and travel for chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Wildlife Reserve. The drive to Kyambura will take you through a grassland area, where you will drop into the amazing gorge of one hundred meters deep, surrounded with tropical rainforest. You will track into the gorge of the Kyambura River in search of the wild chimpanzees. It is a stunning hike through the river valley, home to many birds and butterfly species as well.
Lunch in Mbarara town and continue to the park a game drive and boat trip will be carried out this evening. The boat trip will take 2 hours and you will see a diversity of plants species and animals like hippopotami, crocodiles, and birds like heron, pelicans, black crake, cormorant and fish eagle if lucky you may see the shoebill. Sleep at luxury Mantana lodge / budget Rwonyo camp (FB)

Day 7: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK – KAMPALA
This will be your last day in Lake Mburo national. En route game drive as your travel back to Kampala. Lunch at Hotel Brovad in Masaka and another stopover will be at the equator and Mpambilwe drum makers for crafts. Arrive Kampala for dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Africana or Holiday Express Hotel.
